As the only North American producer of monosodium methanearsonate (MSMA), the herbicide used primarily to protect cotton, turfgrass and other crops, KMG is building a solid presence in the agricultural chemical industry. The herbicide is sold throughout the world under the trade name Bueno^® 6 and is used against such weeds as dandelions, chickweed and ragweed.

KMG acquired the worldwide registrations and trademarks for the herbicide from GB Biosciences as part of our strategy to expand beyond our dominant position in the wood treatment products market and to create more-diversified revenue streams as biotechnology advances.
